Bell County Loop Jail Expansion
Minimum Security Housing
Consists of two 1-story minimum security housing units. The structures are pre-engineered metal buildings with CMU walls with restrooms, supervision booths, recreation areas, and day rooms. Each building will have two pods with 48 beds each in each pod for a total of 96 inmates per building and total new bed count of 192.
Also includes new and relocated water and sewer utilities, new asphalt access drive, new staff parking lot, site related civil items to serve new minimum security housing units, and relocation of site utilities for new Loop Jail Expansion project.
Loop Jail Expansion
Consists of 4 new ground up additions with concurrent renovations to the existing facilities. New additions include bonds and visitation, administration, medical wing, and a new 3-story housing tower. Renovation of the lobby, 2-story property storage system, kitchen, staff dining, and laundry areas.
